It's the day after christmas.
Everyone in the family were happy with their gifts. What I got this christmas from my Family are:
1. From my sister - Framed photo of me
I've always wanted to get a framed photo of me. I wouldn't want to buy a frame for myself and have a photo of mine processed because it will feel too narcissistic. I will surely bring this photo with me wherever I may be.
2. From my dad - A little Black Bag
Perfect for different occasions. Especially now, I can bring purse with me because I will soon get rid of my crackberry. Happiness!
3. From my kuya - A Kamiseta Shirt
That won't fit me because I'm too fat. Now, that'll be my goal for January-Fit into that shirt to make me and everybody happy!
4. From my mom - Of course, the noche buena
Talk about losing weight huh? And there I was grabbing food every time I pass by the dinner table.
Spent the day in bed today, finishing the book Her Fearful Symmetry (bought at Fully Booked as a Christmas Gift to myself) and watching my downloaded movie The Box starring James Marsden and Cameron Diaz. And I thought the movie was good (because of the stars) but I was wrong. I fell asleep right from the start.
The book, however, is interesting. boredom ate at me in the first few chapters but as you go along, you'll see how Niffenegger can catch your interest. It has a bittersweet ending... And same as her first book, The Time Traveler's Wife, this book is about love, commitment, identity and out-of-this-world happenings.
Anyway, my cousins, sister and I tried to fly a kite, but to no avail. The attempt to fly a kite just gave me a good exercise. We'll try it again next time, i still have a week or so here in Davao, plenty of time to do a lot of things.
Countdown for my last day as a slave: 36 days
Countdown before my next adventure: still unknown (haven't booked my ticket yet)
